Panoptent VS Code extension and Chrome extension · Last updated: 22 October 2026
Short version: Panoptent does not collect, sell or send your data anywhere. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. Everything happens on your own computer.
What the Chrome extension does
- It runs on your local development sites (
localhost,127.0.0.1,*.localhost), and on another site only when you turn it on for that tab yourself. - When you select an element, it reads information about that element (tag, classes, text, source file and line, styles) so it can describe your change.
- It sends that information only to Panoptent in VS Code on the same computer, over a local connection to
127.0.0.1(ports 47811–47820). The first connection must be approved by you in VS Code.
What is stored
- In Chrome's local extension storage: your on/off choice per site, the pending change queue, panel preferences, language choice and a random pairing token for VS Code. This never leaves your browser.
- In VS Code: pairing tokens, panel layout and settings, and short request files under
.claude/panoptent/in your project (git-ignored).
Claude Code
When you press Apply, Panoptent hands your request to Claude Code, which you installed and signed in to yourself. What Claude Code does with it is covered by Anthropic's terms and privacy policy, not by Panoptent. Panoptent itself does not contact Anthropic or any other online service.
What we do not do
- No personal data, browsing history, cookies or credentials are collected or transmitted.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties.
- No remote code is loaded; all code ships inside the extension.

Her şey kendi bilgisayarında olur.
Claude Code
